Bruce Engel earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University in 2001. He worked with Barnes Coy Architects until 2002 on high-end residential projects and with MB Architecture until 2004 where his work included the finalist entry for the South American Baha’i Temple and an honorable mention at the US Green Building Awards for the Norwalk affordable housing competition. Bruce co-founded sand_box in 2004, a multi-disciplinary design collaborative with offices in both New York & Chicago. Sand_box’s work, which ranges from product design to commissioned architectural projects, has received several design awards and has appeared in numerous publications and exhibitions.
